Locally manufactured die-rings are made from a steel alloy, and are readily available at a cheaper purchase cost
Imported die-rings last longer, and are made from stainless steel. They do not require running in, and can be ordered to size. They are, however, considerably more expensive, and the waiting time can be substantial.
